We had our first craft show over the weekend and it was a lot of fun. Since we had never done this before we really didn't know what to expect. I think our table was pretty unique compared to the rest, there were little old ladies with crocheted blankets and the typical covered notebooks and soaps. We have a little of everything it seems.
Here are some pictures of our table.
This was a good learning experience that I will help us be better prepared for future shows. We ofcourse will let you know where we will be next.
If you see anything you like on the table you can head over to our shop: here or send us an email, we love special orders! craftygirlsquared@gmail.com
Have a great week everyone.

Foodie Friday- Linky Party!
Hi everyone! Have you been doing any Fall baking? Today I am sharing with you a recipe I tried out yesterday.
Caramel Stuffed Apple Cider Cookies by: Scrambled Hen Fruit
These were so very messy to make but in the end definitely worth it. If you try this recipe definitely read through the whole thing first. She gives advice about the cooling process so that they don't fall apart or stick to the parchment paper. The only thing I did differently was I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose.
My advice would be to make sure you don't make them too large. I usually make big cookies because I'm impatient with scooping batter but my first batch out of the oven I had issues with.
You can see because I made them too big the caramel didn't distribute right and when I tried to pick them up the caramel stayed and I had to pick it off the parchment paper and stick it back in.
The next ones turned out great!
You can tell I don't really make an effort to make them all the exact same size. I don't see the importance of making them the same size and sometimes I want a smaller or bigger one :)
That's Julie in the background mad at me because I wasn't giving her a cookie as fast as she expected.
They are so gooey and yummy. I made some without caramel in them too for my husband, he is weird and doesn't like caramel.
So, now's your turn to share some of your favorite recipes, food tricks, etc. with us! Please don't link up etsy shops, giveaways, or other such things. Please just link up blog posts of your own. Also, please put our button in your post or on your page somewhere.

Thankful Thursday!
Today I'm thankful for the ability to say no. Too often I forget that I am capable of saying no to people and recently I have been exercising my right to say no and it's been wonderful. Don't get me wrong, I love helping people and doing all kinds of things, but I have the terrible habit of overdoing it and then I get utterly exhausted and can't find time to be with my family because I have so much going on.
This past week or so has been delightful. I went to Indy and did very little except spend time with family. Then I came home and every night this week I have been home (save for the hour or so running errands or working on the table cover for our craft show table with Brandi) and on the couch doing something crafty. I am loving this. I could get used to this relaxed lifestyle. I don't feel so harried. This must be what other people my age feel. Because surely they can't feel as frustrated, harried, distracted, and out of breath as I usually feel.
I know you only live once, but that life is what you make it. I want to make it full, but I want to fully live it as well. I want to be able to have time to reflect and enjoy those around me instead of racing from place to place. I want to be able to sit for a few evenings in a row on the couch with my pets and just exist. So, that's what I've been doing lately. I'm thankful for the ability to do that.
I'm also thankful I have this guy:
He's the best friend I never asked for. He's always by my side and loves me no matter what. I really got lucky when he sauntered into my life.
What are you thankful for?

Gearing up for the craft show!
We are so excited that this Saturday we will have a table at our first craft show. Last night we worked on our table covering. Thankfully a good friend let us use her Cricut for the letters and that is what we used for a stencil. With a little Heat'n bond magic this is what we got.
And of course one with our personal Vanna White.
We would love for everyone to come out and see us this Saturday at 9am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223-1742

Pandas, Penguins, and Triceratopses, Oh My!!
This weekend I was in Indy for my baby cousin's baptism! It was so nice to spend time with my family. Although, I missed seeing some of my Indy 'family' even though I stayed at their house and took care of their kitties while they vacationed it up elsewhere (good timing, eh?). Oh well, I will see them again soon. I think it's about time for them to come to Ohio!!
Anyway, I spent a lot of the weekend on their front porch crocheting and this coming weekend Brandi and I are participating in a craft show here in the Akron area (at Immaculate Heart of Mary in CF, if you need info, let us know!!) so we're trying to get a bunch of things done. Here's a little sneak peek at some things that will be debuting at the show and then appearing in the shop after the show is over, and this also happens to be what I worked on last week/weekend! Enjoy!

I hope you all had a splendid weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather! It was so nice outside and the leaves were falling and turning all kinds of pretty colors!
Have a wonderful week...

Foodie Friday - First Linky Party!!
Hey everyone! Today for Foodie Friday I'm going to share with you a super cute cake that Brandi and I made for a friend's kid's birthday earlier this year. I took these pictures on my cell phone, so pardon the poor quality. Nevertheless, the little girl wanted a 'princess bowling cake' and that she got!! Here are some pics of the progression. :)
She absolutely loved it and we were pretty proud of ourselves for pulling it off!
So, now's your turn to share some of your favorite recipes, food tricks, etc. with us! Please don't link up etsy shops, giveaways, or other such things. Please just link up blog posts of your own. Also, please put our button in your post or on your page somewhere.
