Upcycled sweatpants = fingerless gloves

Hi everyone! TGIF right?! I have here for you a quick tute on making fingerless gloves out of some sweat pants scraps. Are you thinking who has sweat pants scraps?  Meig and I do because we buy sweat pants, cut them off and make them shorts, which leaves us with two little tubes of sweat pants scraps :)

Here we go..


Here are the tubes

I cut them each up the seam

Measured around this part of my arm, 8

When I folded the fabric in half, I measured 4 1/8 ish from the fold and marked it and cut each one that size.

Here are the cut pieces ready to go, at this point cut them the length you want.

About 2 inches down from the top I sewed this square, with a zig zag. I sewed over about 3 times

Cut out the middle

Serge or zig zag stitch top and bottom of each piece

I added some decorative stitches around the bottom

fold it in half right sides together and sew them up

Done! These took me about 30 minutes to make, I think they are super useful because I can get away with wearing them at work and its freezing there!
